Freshman Year

Meet with your counselor specifically to work out a 4-year-plan. Two things need to be accomplished when developing such a plan. One is to fulfill the graduation requirements. The other is to start thinking about a post-secondary goal. To answer the usual question, "What do I want to do after my graduation?" College? Job? Military services? Target rank/GPA.

  1. What if my child's counselor refuses to meet with me individually on his four-year-plan?

  3. I guess they are too busy to do this. Here is my take on this. They are currently conducting Freshman Info Sessions, Town Hall meeting style. I think they just want you to wait until you have been to your scheduled session before talking to you.
