Freshman Year
Meet with your counselor specifically to work out a 4-year-plan. Two things need to be accomplished when developing such a plan. One is to fulfill the graduation requirements. The other is to start thinking about a post-secondary goal. To answer the usual question, "What do I want to do after my graduation?" College? Job? Military services? Target rank/GPA.

What if my child's counselor refuses to meet with me individually on his four-year-plan?
ReplyDeleteI have invited our nineth grade counselors to answer this question. Please stay tuned.
ReplyDeleteI guess they are too busy to do this. Here is my take on this. They are currently conducting Freshman Info Sessions, Town Hall meeting style. I think they just want you to wait until you have been to your scheduled session before talking to you.
