Please visit http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ for information related to college financial aid. Make sure everyone fills out the information with FAFSA even if the financial need does not exist at the point.

Seniors,
ReplyDeleteWhen you turn in your Mid-year Reports (MR) for us to complete, please make sure you also turn in transcript request forms and addressed/stamped envelopes at the same time.
Regarding the submission deadline for Mid-year Reports, please be informed that unlike the actual admission applications, colleges don’t usually care about the time/when they receive those MR's, as long as they get them in a reasonably timely manner, they are OK. Plus, unless something has significantly/drastically changed since 1st semester, those reports carry no weight at all in the application/admission process…meaning, the decision will be made, if it hasn’t been yet, with or without them.
Seniors & Parents,
ReplyDeletePlease check periodically on our school website for scholarship info under counselors' tab. We start to receive more materials.
AP registration is still going on. Please make sure you sign up for the exam(s) you are ready for. Most colleges and universities out there accept an AP score of 3 or better for college credit hours. That is one way to lower the cost of attending college.
ReplyDeleteA few words of advice.
ReplyDeleteDo not get too sick with "senioritis". Colleges can revoke offers of admission if your grades take a nosedive senior year, especially in the second semester.
Some acceptance letters may arrive. Compare financial aid offers and visit campus before making a decision.
Don't panic; many, many decisions are not mailed out until April.
Continue applying for appropriate scholarships.
